Greek Studies
The 5th/6th graders explored the ancient Greek world this quarter (Spring 2015). During centers-time, students researched ancient Greek architecture, drawing an aerial view of open air theaters as well as Grecian columns. Another option in centers was to read a Greek mythology story and create trifold displays that retold what they learned. Geography was important in ancient Greece, where locations determined power; therefore, students drew pictures of ancient maps and learned about trade markets and routes.
