I have lived in Prescott for 25 years and began my teaching career over twenty years ago. I graduated from the University of Arizona and taught at a local private school. After several years of teaching in the private school setting I was fortunate enough to have an opportunity to take a teaching position at Skyview School; I have not looked back since! This will be my eighth year at Skyview School. During my tenure here I have worked in many capacities; classroom aide, classroom teacher and, most recently, instructional coach. During last school year I also had the honor to serve on the Skyview School Board of Directors as the staff representative. My two children have been at Skyview since kindergarten. This year Zoe is in the seventh grade and Aiden is in the fourth grade. All of these experiences have given me valuable insight into the core values and beliefs of the Skyview educational model that will serve me well as I embark in my new capacity as Director. My family and I are committed to this wonderful place and are so thankful for Skyview School.

Hello!
You could say my journey as an educator began at Skyview in 2012 as the school’s first (and only) celebration aide. I bounced from room to room helping teachers hang black fabric, made a Harris hawk out of chicken wire, painted a 4 foot tall paper mache heart, and helped kids felt organs in first grade. I told my mom anyone that decided to be a teacher here was out of their mind, the level of work required to pull off celebrations and the level of learning at Skyview was tremendous. Then, I promptly finished my degree in elementary education and became one of “those teachers” who was out of their mind… and I LOVED IT! I taught third and fourth grade for seven years, and as I became more confident in my abilities as a teacher, I found that my niche was learning how to reflect on my practices as a teacher and find ways to improve. Every year was a little different, and a little better. In 2021 I took a break from teaching to be at home with my son, Crosby. During this time, I got my Masters of Science in Curriculum and Instruction and came back to Skyview part time in a role where I was able to support our administration and teachers. I look forward to being of service to the teachers, students and greater Skyview community as I embark on my new journey as Assistant Director. |
Dianne Jacobson

Dianne is a native of Prescott, born and bred. She has been intimately involved with elementary education since 1997 when, while living in Clearwater, Florida, she came upon a Waldorf-inspired Michaelmas celebration. Children were flying red kites and singing songs and she knew in that moment that she wanted to be involved in working with children. That year, she was hired as an assistant in a Waldorf kindergarten.
Since then, she has served on a charter school board, worked hundreds of volunteer hours supporting charter education in Prescott, and even ran her own pre-school for two years. Dianne finally found her home at Skyview School in 2006 as the Operations Manager. She received a Bachelor's in English Literature, graduating Summa Cum Laude, in 2014. Her children, Colin and Sophia, both graduated students of Skyview School, are the joy and blessings of her life. Her passions include the theater arts, writing , books, movies, and now that her kids have flown the coop, having conversations with the cat. |

I am so excited to be part of the Skyview team. I am a third generation Arizona native and was born and raised in Prescott, graduating from PHS in 1994. I’ve been married to my high-school sweetheart, Dee, since 1994.
I worked in hotel management for many years before having children and I earned a Bachelor in Business Management from Western Governors University in 2010, the same month I had my first child. I quickly realized that being a full-time mother was my passion and happily left the hospitality world for baby-land, adding 3 more kids to our brood over the next 3 years. My four children have been Skyview students since kindergarten and we feel so fortunate that we get to be part of this vibrant learning community. It is an honor to join the staff and have the opportunity to work alongside such incredible teachers, aides, kids, and families every day. When I’m not at Skyview you can find me shuttling kids all over town, reading, kayaking, or cuddling with my 3 dogs. |
