I've lived in Prescott for more than 30 years and began my teaching career over twenty-five years ago. After graduating from the University of Arizona, I spent 11 years teaching at a local private school before finding my way to Skyview School and I’ve never looked back!
Both of my children attended Skyview School from kindergarten through eighth grade, making this school an important part of our family’s story. My daughter is now preparing for college, and my son is in his senior year of high school. Both look back on their years at Skyview with great fondness and gratitude. This is my fifteenth year at Skyview School, and during that time I’ve had the opportunity to wear many hats—classroom aide, teacher, instructional coach, and now Director, a role I’ve been honored to hold for the past seven years. Each step along the way has deepened my love and appreciation for Skyview’s vibrant community and its thoughtful, creative approach to learning. I’m truly grateful to be part of this incredible place and to continue growing alongside the amazing students, families, and staff who make Skyview such a special school. |

Hello!
You could say my journey as an educator began at Skyview in 2012 as Skyview’s first (and only) celebration aide. I bounced from room to room helping teachers hang black fabric, made a Harris hawk out of chicken wire, painted a 4 foot tall paper mache heart, and helped kids felt organs in first grade. I told my mom anyone that decided to be a teacher here was out of their mind, the level of work required to pull off celebrations and the level of learning at Skyview was tremendous. Then, I promptly finished my degree in elementary education and became one of “those teachers” who was out of their mind… and I LOVED IT! I taught third and fourth grade for seven years, and as I became more confident in my abilities as a teacher, I found that my niche was learning how to reflect on my practices as a teacher and find ways to improve. Every year was a little different, and a little better. In 2021 I took a break from teaching to be at home with my son, Crosby. During this time, I got my Masters of Science in Curriculum and Instruction and came back to Skyview part time in a role where I was able to support our administration and teachers. I look forward to being of service to the teachers, students and greater Skyview community as I embark on my new journey as Assistant Director. |

I love being part of the Skyview team! I am a third generation Arizona native and was born and raised in Prescott, graduating from PHS in 1994. I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart, Dee, since 1994.
I worked in hotel management for many years before having children and I earned a Bachelor in Business Management from Western Governors University in 2010, the same month I had my first child. I quickly realized that being a full-time mother was my passion and happily left the hospitality world for baby-land, adding 3 more kids to our brood over the next 3 years. My four children have all attended Skyview School from kindergarten through eight grade and we feel so fortunate that we get to be part of this vibrant learning community. It is an honor to have the opportunity to work alongside such incredible teachers, aides, kids, and families every day. When I’m not at Skyview you can find me shuttling kids all over town, reading, kayaking, or cuddling with my 2 dogs. |

I am happy to be a part of the Skyview staff and a Skyview parent. We feel fortunate that we get to be part of this great community.
I moved back to AZ to be closer to family after living in Northern California and working with animals for 20 years.
Some of my favorite activities include music, dance and spending time outdoors with my son and our two dogs Hermie and Millie.
