I am honored to be part of the 3/4 Intermediate teaching team at Skyview School. I carry with me approximately 20 years of teaching experience, including environmental education, dance/yoga instruction, private tutoring, and classroom teaching. This year will be my seventh year teaching at the third/ fourth grade level.
I graduated with honors from Mills College in Oakland, California with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. I have a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University, an Arizona teaching certificate, a reading specialist endorsement, and an early childhood education endorsement. During my career, I have helped develop water/environmental education programs at Sharlot Hall Museum, The Spot Children’s Museum, and the Heritage Park Zoo. In addition, I was recently nominated for Teacher of the Year in Yavapai County and was first runner up in the small school districts category.
As a dancer, I continue to perform, choreograph and teach classes. In my classroom, I draw from these, as well as other life experiences to enrich Skyview's multiple intelligence-based curriculum.
My husband, Cisco, and I are long-time residents of Prescott, where we are currently raising our two children, Noble and Sedona (both Skyview students). We are honored to be a part of the Skyview Community.
I am passionate about teaching, learning, and sharing my wonderment of the world with children. I strive to craft a classroom atmosphere in which my students feel safe, valued, supported, and appropriately challenged. I work alongside my students to help them become independent, confident, life-long learners with the foundational skills and experiences that will allow them to lead productive, meaningful lives.

Tasha has lived in Prescott since 1987.  She attended Prescott Junior High and graduated in 1992 from PHS.  She was a Pre-K teacher for 3 years and led a preschool aftercare program for two years.  She has also taught children's art classes in the Prescott area for 5 years and volunteers at the Peregrin Book Company as a story teller.
Tasha is currently attending Yavapai College in the Early Childhood Education program, with the goal of becoming a kindergarten or primary teacher.  She loves to practice yoga, write poetry, and create art.  She is a self-taught ukulele player and a nature lover, often being found hiking the trails of Prescott with her dog, Sadie.
Tasha's 3 children, Ardara, Huyler, and Augie, have had the privilege of attending Skyview for 5 years.  She is thrilled with the opportunity to get involved in a deeper capacity with this extraordinary program by working in the classroom with its talented teachers and children.
