Taylor Kelling is a dedicated educator with over a decade of experience teaching high school English at Northpoint Academy. Trained in the EL (Expeditionary Learning) education model, Taylor believes students learn best through doing. He emphasizes hands-on, experiential learning and strongly believes in the importance of social-emotional education. Guided by the Dalai Lama's quote, "When educating the minds of the youth, we must not forget to educate their hearts," Taylor strives to create a nurturing and holistic learning environment in his classroom.
Taylor received his bachelor's degree in Education from Prescott College, where he developed a love for teaching, creative writing, and literature, particularly folklore and mythology. Taylor is devoted to bringing these stories to life in his classroom, inspiring students with the magic of ancient tales and modern narratives through ELA, Social Studies, and Math.
Outside of teaching, Taylor is a proud father to his 2-year-old son, Strider. He loves music and art, the beauty of nature, and getting lost in a good book. He spends his free time with his wife and son, drawing, playing guitar, and exploring the outdoors.
