![]() My name is Lisa Hendrickson, and I am both art teacher and artist. I have been teaching art for nearly 20 years. While I have taught art in the primary, middle, high school, and college levels, the bulk of my experience has been at the middle school level. Prior to that I was a social worker in the mental health field in Virginia and Kentucky.
I have lived in Prescott since 2002, and have a wide circle of friends and interests. Specifically, I am a practicing visual artist, and a member of a dance troupe. In terms of my own creative work, I paint, draw, write poetry, and knit hats and stuffed animals known as plush-o-ramas. I love to travel both domestically and internationally. I have lived in 6 states, and have been to 15 countries abroad. My teaching, dancing, and visual arts are very much inspired by these travels! |

We are so excited to announce her first year as our Performing Arts Teacher in the 2022-2023 school year! She will provide a blended arts curriculum that includes music, singing, movement, and drama.
Jenny has been a part of Skyview School since 2009. She started out as a work-study student from Prescott College, helping in our Kindergarten. Since then, she has been in many different classrooms and now assists Ms. Maki in 4/5. Jenny is in the process of finishing up her degree at Yavapai College and hopes to continue working in the education field for years to come. Originally from Wisconsin, she has fallen in love with the Southwest and all it has to offer. When she's not working, Jenny enjoys hiking, ballroom dancing, backpacking, camping, singing, kayaking, and game nights with friends. |
