Family Involvement at Skyview School
Family involvement is central to the educational success of all schools. Parents affirm the importance of their child's learning at Skyview School through active involvement with schoolwork, homework, and classroom assistance, as well as participation in special projects, fieldwork, celebrations, and performances. We believe that students, parents, and staff are all responsible for promoting an educational environment conducive to learning and growth.
Skyview's Parent Volunteer Program
Our Parent Volunteer Program is in integral part of our community of learners. Skyview School is home to families with a strong service ethic and a commitment to community-building support. Modeling this service ethic to the Skyview children, parents commit 50 hours minimum per family, per year, while providing a crucial service to the functioning of the school. We depend on this spirit of volunteerism, knowing that each hour of parent service equates to $20 of funding that can be directed toward student learning and growth. We want and need our parents to be contributing members of our school!
Volunteer Log - use this link to log your hours as you go! JOB BANKS - check in periodically to see if there's a job made for you!
Snow Day Information
In the event of inclement weather and in an effort to simplify procedures, Skyview School usually follows Prescott Unified School District in regards to any delays or closures. We will notify our community through a recorded voice message sent to phone numbers on file for each family. Also, parents may check the home page of this website; listen to the local stations (KNOT at 99.1 FM and KNAU Flagstaff (88.7 FM or 89.3 FM); or check the voicemail message at Skyview School (928-776-1730). Our intention is to have information posted on our voicemail no later than 7:00 a.m.
